^{The reason a Phoenix is so rare, is because the flame often skips multiple generations before sparking once again. So his family never suspected that Jaeil as born with the flame burning inside him.}

^{Jaeil's family was never wealthy. Though he could never remember going without, his family did struggle financially. His mother, father, grandparents (on his mother's side), older sister and himself all lived in a modest apartment on the tenth floor.}

^{The fire that took their lives was not Jaeil's fault. Though, because he was the sole survivor with a few complaints against him; he became the prime suspect. There wasn't enough evidence to support their suspicions, however. Which meant Jae found himself in the foster system at the age of fourteen. A year and a half later, he'd run away and find his home on the streets.}

^{He found a love for music and dance, often performing on the street to earn a little money. At eighteen, the scraggly youth wandered into an open audition. Jae sang, rapped and danced his heart out. Luckily, the indie label saw his potential and signed him on. A year later he made his solo debut as an alt rock/pop musician.}

^{In the public eye, Jaeil was a boldly queer artist and a talent to be reckoned with. He had his fair share of scandals and backlash, but as much of his dirty laundry was aired in the public; he made sure the real truth remained hidden.}

^{With is juvenile records sealed, most of his past remained a mystery. Except, of course, the fire. Fans and media alike dubbed his The Arsonist and Jaeil embraced it for the most part.}

^{But there was so much more that the public didn't know. They called him a fire-starter mockingly, never realizing just what burned beneath the surface. The international news coined him Firebug after a slight mistranslation of the article detailing his alter-ego's existence. His wrath was in flames, rage charred and chipping away at his humanity.}
